These terms govern your use of this website and set out the basis on which SimplB provides its services. Read them together with our Privacy Policy, the Statutory Disclaimer and the CAEP Group PAIA Manual.
SimplB (Pty) Ltd ("SimplB", "we", "us") is a South African Bitcoin-only brokerage operating as a Juristic Representative of CAEP Asset Managers (Pty) Ltd, an authorised financial services provider (FSP 33933). All regulated activities, including brokerage, execution and custody arrangements, are performed under CAEP Asset Managers' Category I and II Crypto Asset Service Provider licences as well as their Long and Short Term Deposits authorisations. CAEP Asset Managers forms part of the CAEP Group. SimplB is a member of the Crypto Asset Association of South Africa (CAASA).
These terms apply to your use of www.simplb.com, its content and the forms on it. When you become a client, the services themselves are governed by the investment mandate and client agreements you conclude with CAEP Asset Managers, which prevail over these terms to the extent of any conflict.
Everything on this website is educational and general information. Nothing here is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing constitutes an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial product. Book a call or speak to your own financial advisor before making any decisions.
Investing in crypto assets is high risk. Bitcoin is volatile and is not a short term investment; we recommend a minimum 5 to 10 year outlook. Past performance is not an indication of future results. If you do not hold the private keys, you surrender control. Never trust anything that offers guaranteed returns.
Accounts are opened by application only. We are required by the Financial Intelligence Centre Act to verify your identity, your address and your source of funds before providing services, and we may decline or discontinue any application at our discretion or where required by law. You warrant that all information you provide is true and complete.
Fees for each service are disclosed to you transparently in your mandate documentation or consultation before you commit to anything. There are no hidden charges.
The content, design and trade marks on this website belong to SimplB or are used under licence. You may read and share our articles with attribution, but you may not reproduce site content for commercial purposes without written permission. We work to keep content accurate and current but do not warrant that it is free of errors, and we may change it at any time.
Client-facing services may involve carefully selected third party providers, for example custody technology and identity verification. Where you use a third party service, that provider's own terms apply in addition to your agreements with CAEP Asset Managers. Links to external websites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights, including access, correction and deletion. Personal information processed in the course of regulated services is processed within the CAEP Group's compliance framework.
Requests for access to records held by SimplB or the CAEP Group are handled in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000. The CAEP Group PAIA Manual sets out the categories of records held, the request procedure, the prescribed forms and the contact details of the Information Officer. PAIA requests may be directed to info@caeppartners.com using the forms in the manual.
Questions and complaints can be sent to james@simplb.com and we aim to respond promptly. Complaints relating to regulated services may be escalated to CAEP Asset Managers' compliance function via info@caeppartners.com, and thereafter to the FAIS Ombud or the Financial Sector Conduct Authority if unresolved.
To the extent permitted by law, SimplB is not liable for losses arising from your use of this website, from market movements in crypto assets, or from events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or your statutory rights as a financial customer.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be published on this page with its date at the top.
