James Caw first bought Bitcoin on LocalBitcoins in 2015 and has worked in it professionally since 2016, consulting on brokerage, advising local exchanges on marketing, and partnering with international Bitcoin firms. Driven by the need for stronger security, he began building strategic Bitcoin vaults and custom custody systems for high-net-worth clients.
He founded SimplB to do one thing well: help South Africans gain exposure to Bitcoin and keep it safe, so that assets cannot be stolen and can be passed cleanly to the next generation. His work is less about the technicalities of Bitcoin and more about securing a legacy.
